Summer 2023 internship

We are seeking a motivated and proactive summer intern to join our team in assisting with various projects related to the support of Ukrainian immigrants in Canada. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, able to work independently, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Research grants and assist with grant applications to help secure funding for our organization.

  • Recruit volunteers for our various initiatives

  • Collaborate with volunteer on website content creation. 

  • Social media management to increase our organization's online presence, engage our audience, and promote our services and events. 

  • Event planning and coordination: Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of webinars, and other events for our community members, including coordinating with speakers, managing registration, and promoting events through various channels.

  • Outreach and partnership development: Identify and establish partnerships with local organizations, educational institutions, and businesses to expand our network and enhance our services for Ukrainian immigrants.

  • Monitoring and evaluation: Assist in tracking the progress and impact of our projects and services, collecting feedback from participants, and preparing reports to inform future improvements and decision-making.

  • Database management: Help maintain and update our internal databases, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information on volunteers, clients, and partners.
     

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Proficiency in English and French

  • Ability to work independently

  • Creative problem-solving skills 
     

As an intern, you will be given clear goals and guidance, but you will also be encouraged to think independently and come up with your own strategies to achieve the objectives. This position offers a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our organization while gaining valuable experience in the non-profit sector.
